• Directions: Location is for State Forest main entrance, parking, picnic area. [From I-195] Rte 24N to Rte 79. Follow Rte 79 through Assonet, it will take a sharp right turn at the village center. As soon as you take the sharp right, you will see an intersection where the signs for the state forest will be posted. Bear right (do NOT follow Rte 79). The main entrance will be a couple of miles up on the right.
